Lorenzo Grassi was awarded the best doctoral thesis in biomechanics by the European Society of Biomechanics. This gave Lorenzo the chance to present his thesis work Femoral strength prediction using finite element models during a dedicated plenary session at the 23rd congress of the European Society of Biomechanics.
The grant will finance travels to work meetings with research collaborators at the National Marine Mammal Foundation in San Diego, USA and University of Prince Edward Island, Canada.
