On June 16th Maria Tenje was awarded a scholarship of 100,000 SEK for her project ”Evaluation of thin membranes as a model of the blood-brain barrier” from the Sten K Johnson foundation. The funding will be used in Anette Wolff’s PhD project.
On 4 June this years winner in Klinnovation 2015 were announced. With the title ”Compartment Model Based Estimation of Myocardial Blood Flow using Dynamic N-13 Ammonia PET” John Heerford Sjökvist and Mattias Albinsson claimed first prize including 10 000 SEK awarded from Lund University Innovation Systems. Carl Grenvall defended his doctor's thesis, Acoustic Forces in Cytometry and Biomedical Applications: Multidimensional Acosutophoresis, on 5 December 2014 with honors and was given the doctors insignia at the promovation on 29 May 2015.
