Dr. Per Augustsson and Prof. Leif Sörnmo received project grants from the Swedish Research Council. The problems to be addressed are described by the following two titles: ”Iso-acoustic focusing for flow cytometry and cell isolation” and "Model-Based Methods for Investigating the Progression of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation”. About 15% of this year's grant applications in the area of biomedical engineering were approved.
