Medal for the development of gynecologic ultrasound

Kjell Lindström, professor emeritus of measurement technology at LTH and the medical department of Skånes University Hospital is awarded Ian Donald Technical Development Award 2016 by the International Society of ultrasound in Obstetrics and rynecology (ISUOr). This medal is awarded only those who have done outstanding contributions to the technical development of diagnostic ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology.
The medal is given in memory of Ian Donalds pioneering contributions at the university of Glasgow. His group published the first ultrasound image of a fetus in 1958. Kjell Lindström will recieve the award on the 25 September in connection with the 26th World Congrees on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and rynecology in Rome.
