BME got a "grand slam" of awards from Apotekaresocieteten (Swedish Pharmaceutical Society) - the Phabian Award 2015. Award for best PhD thesis along with 25 000 kr was given to Belinda Lyddby (Adler) in the area of pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis. Dr Lyddby's research has been focused on miniaturized sample handling and integration with mass spectrometry analysis.

Additionally Björn Hammarström was given a diploma and honorable mention for his dissertation on miniaturized sample pretreatment based on acoustic enrichment and purification of bacteria and nano-particles.
