The Fusion instrument is combining a quadrupole, an ion trap and an Orbitrap and therefore named as a tribrid mass spectrometer that is from Thermo Fisher Scientific. This instrument is also used for untargeted and targeted proteomic analyses as well as for intact protein measurements.
The triple quadrupole mass spectrometer called TSQ Quantiva from Thermo Fisher Scientific is the newer generation of the TSQ Vantage and provides maximum quantitative performance for targeted proteomic approaches.
The TSQ Vantage (Thermo Fisher Scientific) consists of two mass analyzers and one collision cell and is utilized for MRM (multiple reaction monitoring) measurements to quantify and validate a certain subset of biomarker candidates.
The hybrid instruments Q Exactive and Q Exactive+ consist of a quadrupole and an Orbitrap (from Thermo Fisher Scientific). The mass spectrometers are used for untargeted and targeted proteomic approaches to quantify and validate possible biomarker candidates.
The Q Exactive can also be coupled to an HDX instrument to analyze proteins interactions with their surroundings.
The LTQ Orbitrap XL, which is also a hybrid mass spectrometer, consists of an ion trap and an Orbitrap (from Thermo Fisher Scientific). The instruments are utilized for MALDI Imaging.
Miscroscopy from Leica is to observe the histological images such as H&E stained and immunohistochemical images.
