On May 23 the research group for clinical protein science and imaging will host a symposium for the European Cancer Moonshot project. The symposium will be on the various aspects of cancer with a focus on the patients and will feature speakers representing researchers, doctors, industry, patients and relatives. As a special guest and speaker, Patrik Sjöberg, the legendary Swedish high jumper, will present Tuvas day via Team BEWi (Swedish).
The Cancer Moonshot project was initiated by former vice president Joe Biden and the Obama administration to combat cancer through development of better therapies, detection and preventative measures. The European branch is led by professor György Marko-Varga who will further the international research on cancer in the area of clinical protein science together with about ten other research groups from around the world.
