Good writing skills are essential for getting manuscripts published,
and for securing research fundning.
This course (credits: 7,5 hp) will allow you to focus on honing your
practical writing skills in realistic settings. You will write manuscripts
for mock publication, get back mock comments from the "editors" and
"reviewers", and you will write and "submit" rebuttal letters and
revised manuscripts. You will also write a grant application including budget.
You can find example documents, links, and tools under
'Useful resources' to the left. If you want, you can use your
own research data in your texts, but be careful about
spreading sensitive or patentable information.
It is recommended (but not required) that you have previously
attended other academic writing courses, as the pace of this course
will be fast. You will be kept very busy writing.
The course starts November 4, and is currently only open
for applicants from BME.
